Modern Mix in Mclean

Modern Mix in Mclean

As seen in the May/ June Issue of Home & Design Magazine

This existing home had great potential on first walking the property. The rear yard faces South and had a beautiful view of a private garden and pool. The  9,000 square foot house had plenty of room for the clients and allowed for both their adult children and their future families as well as aging parents to join them if and when the time arose.

The quirks of this home were obvious: the rooms had limited access to the outdoors. The front entry hall and rear hall were cramped and tight. The main floor was awkwardly divided into an odd-shaped space and the Master suite held separate his and her baths and closets that made for a maze of angled small rooms.

Studio 360 redesigned the interior spaces on all 3 floors of this home to create a light-filled,  vibrant home made for entertaining. The client’s love of music and family heritage is celebrated in many of the design decisions. Some unique features include: a Juliet balcony off the master suite, sliding steel doors to a rem=novated rear porch with heaters and remote screens, a golf simulator, putting green and home theatre, a stunning porcelain slab shower, and showstopping light fixtures throughout.
